Just tried to install Lyx from lyx_setup_136proposal-v15-3.exe (is this the latest?) and I noticed :

1. It got the location of my eudora wrong: the location is c:\eudora5 and the routine "found" it in --- as reported --- c:\eudorar. In the summary screen it reported that eudora was in c:\eudora, also wrong. If this was found via the registry, what key was searched? It may have been something I did to mangle the relevant entry.

2. Though it went by very quickly, I did notice that maple wasn't found, though it is installed.

But the bottom line was that the new Lyx did start correctly, though I haven't played with it yet. Very nice installer!!

This raises another question: is there some place that the results of the search for installed programs (in the dos session) is retained on disk, so one could check to see what was found and what wasn't? If it isn't, then perhaps this would be worth providing? Something like a "tee" program would be ideal, writing both to the screen and to a file.
