On the Wiki, you posted a test program for screen DPI detection and
asked if it worked for others. I'm assuming this is the right place to
answer. I ran it on my laptop, and it said 81 DPI (same thing LyX
1.3.6pre says). My display adapter is set for 96 DPI.

PS: Ok, you don't want to/can't edit the Help | About LyX code to
indicate version, but could you maybe name the prerelease files on the
Wiki something like lyx_setup_136_12.exe (12 being the current release
number)? That way, if I keep the installer, I know if I'm current.
