No. But could you give the installer package file a new number when you
upload a new version. E.g. "lyx_setup_136_07062005.exe" for todays
version. This makes it easier for testers.

Recognizing acroread and gsview is a minor problem. But the average user
installs LyX and presses View->PDF to test his installation. As no PDF
viewer is recognized, he gets an error message.

Hey chin up! You did a good job in porting LyX to Win, so it is no
problem to take a break. I wish I could help you, but my programming
skills are not sufficient.
Btw. how do you manage to work fulltime on LyX?
