Good to hear. I propose to post updated versions of qt-mt.dll in the future
as the Qt/WinFree guys squash their bugs, so rendering problems will
improve asymptotically.

Yes, I get this sometimes too. It appears that somehow the generated file
takes some seconds to get "registered". If you wait twenty seconds or so
before trying to launch lyx from the installer, it tends to work.

Go figure...

That's the checkbox in the Edit->Preferences dialog, right? We don't
support spell checking by an external process because we haven't got code
to communicate with it through anonymous pipes on Windows. We do support
spell checking by the pspell library (part of aspell). That's compiled in;
you shouldn't need to do anything to use it other than provide a
dictionary file in the "expected location". (whereever that is...)

aspell support is compiled in, but I haven't included any dictionaries.
Indeed, I haven't got a dictionary installed on my machine. Maybe Michael
Schmitt can comment further? Off the top of my head his email address is
<michael.schmitt () teststep ! org>. I know he's being using LyX/Win 1.3.6
for months now.

Thanks for the feedback.
