Because a solution is rushed into without thinking about other ways or
simpler ways of solving the problem.
The end result was imho very satisfactory:
- the actual change was smaller and solved the problem
specifically for l10n.
- We found a discrepancy in the handling of CopyStyle (or whatever
its name was)
- and leaves the easier way of converting the layout files to xml
possible.
