Are you using an "non-installed" lyx installation? Then the
problem is that the scripts in lib/scripts (needed for this) are
not found. You can add this dir to the path and see if it helps.
Lyx-1.4 aren't looking hard enough for its own scripts?
I did a cp -R lyx-devel/lib/scripts/* ~/.lyx-1.4cvs/lib/scripts
And then view->pdf and view->dvi both worked with the same graphichs inset! Nice.
I noticed that all these files also exists under /usr/local/share/lyx-1.4cvs/scripts,
but lyx-1.4 apparently didn't find them there, even though 'make install'
put them there. Something broken, or a problem with --version-suffix ?
