Hi,
this is very bad bug for someone who uses a keyboard with dead keys and
has
a qt version with the immodule from freedesktop.org enabled.
I have noticed that if we are inside any dialog the accents show as
they
should, this problem only happens in the main canvas. For any other dialog
I can insert the composed characters although they now show like [EMAIL
PROTECTED]
Clearly this is a symptom of the character being utf-8 and displayed in
my
case as latin-1.
So with this qt we have not only one but two types of problems. :-(
Any place where I should start to look for. This bug is forcing me to
use
the xforms version. Ugh, I wasn't used anymore. :-)
This can be annoying not just for accented chars since, for example,
while
inside math mode _^_ does not work to create an exponent. :-(
I have searched using as starting point the bug report as well as
looking
to the qt source but my qt knowledge clearly is not enough to even scratch
the problem. :-(
