Both your patches work fine together... colour too. For my part you can commit them. They do expose an undergrowth of other bugs though :-) e.g. "Assertion triggered in CursorSlice LCursor::anchor() const by failing check "anchor_.depth() >= depth()" in file cursor.C:351" ...if you insert an ERT into a table cell and then try to paint text in that cell WITH THE MOUSE up to the start of the ERT... outside the table, no problem.
