I inform about other LiveCD (based on SLAX, http://slax.linux-live.org).
My distro (SlaX-TL) contain LyX-1.3.5, other tools for texing (emacs, kile, vim) and TeXLive2004 (without noneuropean languages).
Home page http://parlament.uw.edu.pl/pliki/ is unfortunately in polish language (yet).

Attention: distro has default locale ste to pl_PL and contain only polish translation. After start you'll have to change locale:
export LC_ALL=en_US
