It seems that all the files not in frontends are skipped...
the configure code explicitly searches for xgettext >= 0.12, which I do not have here (0.11.4). What is your version of gettext?
Great, I have 0.11.5 on my Windows machine :-(
In this case, the guy who added the requirement should remerge the po file for us...
