Oh, read the code, John, read the code. There's a bit of hacking to do still in support/filetools.[Ch], support/FileInfo.[Ch] and support/forkedcall.[Ch], support/forkedcontr[Ch] (notice that these are in the *support* library), but the work is actually a case of merging stuff that's already been written into the repository. I'm not saying that writing cross-platform code is easy. I'm saying that we use the right tools to make it easy FOR US. Specifically, a cross-platform GUI (Qt) and the Boost libraries.
