The week between LyX 1.4.0 final and LyX 2.0 RC1 ? ;-) < This also fits quite well with some other cleanup that I'd < really like to do, but there are problems as well... security is one. < Hmm, maybe we can convince Tobias to try out sharing a LyX instance with VNC and report to us how that works before you start redesigning LyX. VNC might be even better than an integrated support because it would also share the external programs (eg. XFig) LyX uses. OTOH it would probably not be possible for two persons to edit at the same time. Another idea is to extend the version control support of LyX to remote CVS; maybe include a nifty change merger mode like in Eclipse. Cheers /Andreas
