I think the easieast is if you create a mirror tree for yourself on
aussie.

And then have have a rsynced copy of that on your own box. (initial
setup will require a massive download...) (Unless you have a
semi-updated tree now, then rsync can work with that)

All cvs commands should be run on aussie.

I have been checking out svn, but IMHO it is not an option to move
away from cvs right now.
