Apparently Apple decided not to support combining dead keys with alt or command modifiers :-( Well, I just found out that you can combine dead keys with the alt modifier, you get other nifty characters like typographical quotes. :-) Still, for key bindings it's better to find some 'normal' keys. /Andreas
