So you didn't see the bugs which crept in?
(No, I'm not talking about spurious spaces! ;-) )

For anyone to test how far LyX is from an excellent
DocBook Editor:
* open UserGuide.lyx
* save as writeable copy
* set document class to "DocBook (book)"
-- some layout conversion errors are normal
* export as DocBook and DocBook (xml)
* try to use your favorite tool chain on the result.

If you don't want to install all the SGML/XML stuff,
just run "xmllint --valid UserGuide.xml" .

So what is the schedule for 1.4.0 ?
Do you want to have the above procedure succeed
for all LyX help files in LyX 1.4.0 ? 
(These two questions might be connected ;-) )
