Is anyone else seeing this?

In 1.4.0cvs I cannot display some "composite" math symbols properly:
\mapsto, \notin, \not\in. Basically all is well except for the word "mu"
appearing overprinted (in blue) and weird spacing. Normal math symbols work
fine.

-dbg font, mathed does not reveal anything unusual to me.

All works correctly in lyx-1.3.x in the same machine.

Both qt and xforms.

Any insight welcomed.

Alfredo

PS: I cannot compile the gtk frontend anymore in my rh9. No gtkmm-2.4 here.
