I cannot reproduce. Spellchecking german documents works for me with latest 1.4cvs and aspell 0.60. Which setting do you have, Hartmut? I notice, though, that the workarea is not updated properly while spellchecking (i.e. only the first misspelled word is marked, the cursor moves on, but the screen does not follow). Also, when changing the language of a new document, the "character" language is not reset. Jürgen
