No bit is incorrect. Really. For a change :) Both passages seem to be correct. Why is it that people insist on assuming that things don't work (or are wrong), when in fact -- they are correct and do work :) Feel free to consider it as praise for lyx ;). > $ cat README > ... > > Menus and error messages have been translated to the following > languages (* means there are language-specific keyboard menu > bindings as well): > > ... > Polish (pl) > ... > > Keymaps can ease typing in one or more of the following languages: > > ... > Polish > ... I don't know about Polish keymaps, I just use whatever KDE's keyboard map utility provides for me, so I've never tested a Polish keymap -- assuming it's an X keymap you're talking about. Anyway, I've never had any need to change keymaps specifically in/for lyx, it "just works" out of the box. Maybe I'm too lucky :) Basically, if I do $ LANG=pl_PL lyx it starts up with polish menus, opens polish help files, etc. The only gotcha is that the default document language is still English, which may or may not make too much sense (said so in order to avoid a flame war :). Probably it could be made into a configuration option -- a simple checkbox "Use user interface language as default document language". That's about all that I have to say on the subject, I admit. When things work, they... just work :) Cheers, Kuba Ober
