BTW it might be nice to have "lyxclient file.lyx" open file.lyx in an existing LyX instance. How do you use -c? I tried something like "lyxclient -c buffer-new", but it does not work. Am I supposed to give a command with the lyxclient protocol cruft? Another idea would be to launch a LyX instance if known is found, but I understand that it could cause some problems... JMarc
