Because word2tex produced bad latex code or because the tex -> lyx conversion was suboptimal? Did you try tex2lyx? If not, you should do it, it does a better job than reLyX in many cases. Of course. It is probably easier (and more flexible, too) to get a decent mif2latex and then use tex2lyx. I can assure you that some aspects of the lyx file format are difficult to get right (e. g. nesting environments). Georg
