Hi

In response to a question on one of the lists, I thought I'd add a quick
description to the wiki of how the file types: .layout, .cls and .sty
relate. It's at this page:

        http://wiki.lyx.org/pmwiki.php/LyX/Concepts

but my explanation of how they relate isn't coming together very well (ok,
having a hangover doesn't help of course...). Anyway, this is the current
text (in wiki markup):

!!LyX concepts — about layouts, classes and styles

This page (will) explains how ''LyX layout files'' (@@.layout@@)
relate to ''LaTeX class files'' (@@.cls@@) and ''LaTeX style files''
(@@.sty@@).

:[=LyX layout file=]: LyX uses ''layout files'' (@@.layout@@) to \
control the appearance of a document inside LyX. This does not \
(directly) control the appearance of the printed document.

:[=LaTeX class file=]: A LaTeX class is (@@.cls) is ???

:[=LaTeX style=]: A LaTeX style file (@@.sty@@) is ???

Any help or links would be appreciated.

/Christian
