Brief info: Some script kiddie thought it was fun to trash about four
pages on the wiki site. Kuba Ober has restored the pages, I just wanted to
let the lists know that all of us can restore pages (see below).
Please use the documentation list (gmane.editors.lyx.documentation) for
any ensuing discussions on modifying the wiki in terms of security etc.
Personally, I hope we'll be able to let everyone keep contributing to the
wiki site without having to use passwords etc. Although maybe it's time to
set a password for the LyX.Welcome, since that's the most exposed page.

Anyone can restore changes to a page in the wiki. Basically you click on
the link
Page history
in the upper right corner. Then you will see the changes that's been done
to the page, and below each set of changes there's a link called
Restore
that you click on.
PS.
If the script kiddie actually "deletes" a page (which you do by erasing
the content of a page and writing only 'delete'), then an administrator
must manually restore the page. Restoring a "deleted" page is simply a
matter of going to the directory with the wiki pages and renaming a file.
