No, there would be no common code I think. Both docbook and AGU have
this label detection. I'm not sure about linuxdoc.

So, yes, this isn't a very good idea either. Especially since it isn't
really a label ("internally" doesn't count, you cannot legally
reference it from the rest of the text), just label-like. A sui
generis solution would be proper but a lot of effort for one
documentclass.

Would the Description idiom work here? But... we wanted to get rid of
that / insetify it...

Perhaps we should have a separate OptArg inset derived from
InsetCommand, having a dialog for simple string input like InsetLabel,
but independent from it and from the ShortTitle inset as well. Would
be doable. 

Are there any other places where this would be useful?
