Ah. I misread you. No, I have no easy solution for that. Cutting up an inset in this way will require some very tricky coding I think, which I would be reluctant to consider. Count that as a restriction of the inset model. But don't you think people will get pretty quickly used to that if you want two adjacent patches of text in the same style, you'll just have to select and apply them separately? It isn't extra effort, just a change in habit. Of course an easy way to undo an inset without losing its text is valuable to have. Even above and beyond standard undo. - Martin
