The syntax of the .layout file is pretty simple still, because I see that consensus on the final syntax hasn't crystallized out yet on this list. This is just for starters. So fight over it boys and girls, and let me know what comes out. Better even, what if I check this in now? We can then work out the syntax at our leasure, which should be almost trivial now. (Actually implementing additional functionality is a different matter... don't look at me like that :) - Martin
