The difference could be explained with: It's more Customizable, more flexible than g-brief. > > If g-brief is the obsolete version, should it be highlighted in the > class description? The old g-brief-style is a little easier to handle. But the author said, he wont maintain the old style anymore. He will only provide bugfixes. > > And finally, are the two classes compatible (is it possible to switch > old docs to g-brief2?). There are not compatible. You cant convert an old g-brief document to the new one without loosing all settings. But I couldn't find any note for g-brief in The User/Extended Guides ? There we recommend letter and din-brief for writing letters. g-brief looks much nicer so some notes in the documentation would be usefull. I changed the example/template .lyx files again. Inserted a note pointing the user to the Latex-Preamble for more customization The URL was: http://www.fkurth.de/~felix/g-brief2.tgz Felix -- Felix Kurth pgp public key: http://www.fkurth.de/keys/felix.fkurth.asc key fingerprint: D401 DCF8 2BF8 50DF 2FAD 8136 C29B 83EE C0A1 F2AD
