Anyway, what I did (replace things like 'red' for '#ff0000' surely can't affect how Qt handles 'None'? Perhaps you might ask a kind user of suse 8.2 or redhat 9 to see how LyX 1.3.x behaves on their machines? If the problem exists, then my patch is entirely orthoganol to it. I did clean up a few bits and pieces in the 1.4.x stuff that are still present in the 1.3.x patch. Tell me if you're interested and I'll dig them out and add them to the 1.3.x patch too. -- Angus
