So I have now unsubscribed from the lyx-devel mailing list. This is what happens, when I send a message as non-member: 1) I receive a message to reconfirm; so I reconfirm that. 2) I then receive a message that my original message is permitted for lyx-devel. 3) I do never see my message appear on the lyx-devel gname news server. So, even for this very message, I have no idea whether and when it actually makes it to the list, despite all the confirmation exchange. I therefor send this email also to you personally.
