Hmmm, perhaps.

The two most popular widths will be (corrected) \columnwidth and
"adaptive" (i.e., don't put a parbox inside the fbox). I was
considering at least having that in the Box dialog. But why not
user-specified width as well.

Hmmm, would you recommend a minipage instead? What are the
benefits/disadvantages? Yes, why not allow both (but if we don't quite
understand the difference, will the user?)
