A friend in our department who has been fairly used to using latex in for writing in his documents, is deciding about using lyx in the future..
In testing out lyx, he found that the fact that bold greek letters didn't work was really annoying.
I ended up placing \renewcommand{\mathbf}{\boldsymbol}
and this made characters that were specified to be bold to work correctly in the resultant dvi/ps document. (in the lyx program - even though in lyx they didn't show up as bold, but in the when you move the cursor over the greek character, it says "mathbf" in the status bar.)
Now the thing is, it'd be nice for bold greek math character's to appear as bold in the lyx editor. As this may be fairly difficult, (I haven't looked into it, and don't have time) I though an alternate solution is to change the color of bold characters...
So, is it is possible to change the color in the font editor, when character's become bold?
