Hi, 1. if you change your spellchecking language to aspell and try to find your personal dictionary, the default for file type is still "*.ispell", and it cannot be changed. aspell personal dictionaries are normally something like ".aspell......". Even my file .ispell_german is not displayed 2. if you successfully changed your spellchecking language and start spellchecking for the first time, you get an error message telling you, that "... The spell process returned an error. Perhaps it has been configured wrongly?" 3. the second start gives an error message "Could not communicate with the spell-checker programm" but does spellchecking, but LyX crashes on the first attempt to add a word to your personal dictionary. 4. after restarting LyX everything works fine -- Regards, Hartmut Haase
