I don't think so as I did not remove any "duplicated" function 'read'.

InsetTabular::read() basically just calls Tabular::[Rr]ead() via the
Tabular constructor. 

Logic is a bit convoluted there but not really bad.

No.

I just found some part of the  InsetTabular/InsetText/LyXText  lump that
looked understandable and improveable...
