Do "Insert->External Material...", to open the External Material Xforms dialog.
Click on "Edit File", then on "Apply", then on "Edit File", then on "Apply" etc. This keeps generating "[Chess:]" boxes on the LyX canvas.
Some logic is wrong here; or is it not yet ready for this kind of testing?
How about me re-layouting the dialog a bit?
