It looks like currently undo() (not sure about redo) re-builds the paragraph list properly and all crashes are Row-related.
To verify this: Is there a way to force a complete rebuild of all RowLists? Can LyXText::init(..., true) do that? Andre' -- Those who desire to give up Freedom in order to gain Security, will not have, nor do they deserve, either one. (T. Jefferson or B. Franklin or both...)
