For someone who knows the code, it's probably easier to just fix it. For me, I don't know... on one hand I have no clue where to look or start... on the other hand, bugzilla has been very unfriendly to me lately... It's also nice to let people have opinions on the choice of new shortcut and so on. And with a bugzilla entry, you get some kind of documentation of what's been done.. a bit of change tracking, the thing isn't fixed several times etc. All that said..., if I weren't about to send my thesis to printing in abt. two weeks, I'd probably start fiddling with the code anyway. I don't see anyting wrong with reporting a bug AND fixing it :-) Seriously though, I'm planning on diving into the lyx code once my thesis is done, and then it'll be nice to have some simple things to start with. And I think bugs should be documented (although with my software I'm usually to lazy for doing it), so if I don't get any objections to my e-mails, I'll bugzilla them for now. /Christian -- Christian Ridderström http://www.md.kth.se/~chr
