Hi

I was just working with LyX and noticed something that's actually been a
nuisance for years... here's what typically happens:

I'm typing some equation and then press <Space> to get out of math mode.
The cursor leaves math mode, but for some reason I think that I've
hit <Space> twice so there's an extra space between the math-inset and the
location of the cursor... so I do backspace and the whole math-inset is
deleted - does this sound familiar?

Anyway, I looked closer at it (literally) and noticed that the cursor
actually moves a small distance when you leave the math-inset, which could
explain why I think there's a space there.

My suggestion is that this distance either be reduced or removed, I think
it could be removed now with the red (?) box around the math-inset that
appear when you're in math mode.

Opinions? Objections to filing it as an enhancement request?

As a temporary "workaround", I can start using <Escape> to leave
math-mode, but I think I'd prefer <Space>.
