These two alternatives seem to be a good compromises.

1. Lyx and lyxclient initially read LYXPIPES environment variable. If not
present, it defaults to ~/.lyx/lyxpipe.

2. If ~/.lyx/lyxpipe.{in,out} already exist and are links, lyx readlinks
them and determine the true location.
