As I read it, Dekel was not suggesting validate do anything *at all*. Dekel wanted this : diff -u BufferParams.C @@ @@ BufferParams::BufferParams() - use_amsmath = false; - use_amsmath = true; only. A macro with some name *would not change* this value. regards john
