I've just remembered that there was another mini fix to forkedcontr.C we cooked up with Angus that was applied to HEAD. I suspect that the bug was responsible for some crashes on exit while executing forked processes (It had that potentiality at last, and it seems that I don't get them anymore). The fix was also to ForkedcallsController::timer (spawn on 3 or 4 patches unfortunately). Alfredo
