I know it sounds stupid. Indeed, there is no snippet visible on the first page. But as soon as "Previews generated!" is output on the console, the screen looks like the attachement.

Could you send/attach a minimal file that displays the problem?
No, this file is a minimal test case! If I delete some text, the problem does not occur anymore. Therefore, I guess that the document is
reformatted in memory after all snippets are loaded and this causes the problem. Maybe the size of the snippets is not computed correctly???

Nevertheless, I have _no_ idea why some crap from Mozilla is shown (and. no, this is not the content of a window which is hidden by LyX)
