Hello everyone, First of all, thanks for LyX! I used it to write my PhD thesis and I'm sure it saved me hours of fiddling with latex.
Anyway, more recently I've been looking to contribute to an open source project, and I thought that a good thing to attempt would be to revive the Gnome frontend to LyX. Most of my programming experience is with C and Java so my C++ is a little rusty, but I guess it's all good experience... So far I've got a recent CVS version and have fiddled with the Gnome code enough to make the currently implemented dialogs work. Hopefully I can add the others gradually and then maybe tackle the main window. What I really wanted to know is whether anybody else working on this. I assumed from previous messages that nobody is currently, but I don't want to duplicate work that someone else is doing quietly in the background... Anyway in the meantime I'll carry on as I am (pretty slowly probably) and let you know when I've got a patch worth looking at. Cheers, Martin.
