If you could bear with me, I'm getting confused. I want to be a lot more
methodical now. So, could you please do the following :

1. Update to current CVS and build. Do not patch lyx yourself at all
please.

2. Create a document with a single character that fails to be inserted
using the xforms frontend, and save it, and send me it. Use a latin2
language, we'll ignore russian for now.

3. Create a new document in the qt frontend in the same language, and
try to insert the same character (that fails). Send me the -dbg key log
as a gzipped attachment, the saved document with the single character,
which LANG is being used. Also tell me what keys you pressed with which
xmodmap, and give xev output too. Please do this with a lyx that does
not have your patches.

4. Do the same with xforms frontend (with font encoding in prefs set up
appropriately)

Also can you tell me what font is being used in the qt and xforms frontend.

5. If you like repeat 3. with *current* CVS with your patch fix on top
(and send me the patch too)

Oh, and exact Qt version too.

Thanks for your patience.
