I opened another BIG document and it did behave like you've just said. Formulas display on demand (.5-2 second per page). I have this problem for one perticular file which have >50 small symbols per page. I guess this '50' is causing the problem. The lyx file is http://www.stat.rice.edu/~bpeng/reference.lyx I notice that inline formula is displayed lower than surrounding texts. I am wondering if this is caused by my settings though. -- Bo Peng
