IMHO we should use Boost.Format to make l10n messages and strings easier to translate, and also enable reordering of arguments. A thing that is needed for several languages.
This patch does this for all the obvious patches, lyxstring has not been tested. (as if I care...really) I consider this patch a bug fix, in that l10n work will be easier with this one applied, otoh comments are welcome.
