Well ;-) We could start a long thread on this topic. The short answer is: you cannot compare computer or natural sciences with human sciences. The use of footnotes as a "subtext" is essential in (European) human scientific texts, and I'm not (yet) in a position to introduce a new scientific paradigm. Regards, Jürgen > Cheers, Kuba Ober
