It took me quite a long time to figure out what was wrong when I first 
encountered this problem. I switched to text but forgot to switch back 
to math-mode but I can not see this from the lyx display. If text mode 
and math mode have different font/color/box etc so that I can tell 
easily that a formula is in the wrong place, it would be helpful.
