John, Edwin et al., Attached is my first version of preferences designer files. It has -- like QDocument -- a main dialog (QPreferences.ui) and embedded "Modules" (QPrefxxxModule.ui). I hope I got this right.
Here is my proposal for the dialog structure. The modules are following this
structure. There are no tabfolders, but a collabsable tree:
Look and Feel
- Screen fonts
- Colors
- User interface (or Menu?)
- Inset display (= graphics display, preview - better name?)
- Misc (cursor follows scrollbar etc. - better name please!)
Language settings
- Language
- Keyboard
- Spellchecker
- Date (strftime)
File conversion
- File formats
- Converters
Output
- Printer
- LaTeX/DVI
- ASCII
TODO: most tooltips.
Feel free to edit and change the design.
