Although questioning Him is sometimes considered heresy, can I 
ask why there is a problem with such an entry? Are ChangeLogs 
not for /our/ benefit?

I would contend that "why" does not hurt when the "what" is not 
intuitive. Especially since you venture in here but rarely and I 
would like some reminder of "why".
