Then you have a buggy version of Ghostscript (or perhaps acroread).
I get the correct result using either pslatex or ae
(I have ESP Ghostscript 7.05.4).
Which version of Ghostscript do you have ?

You can also try using dvipdfm or pdflatex for generating the PDF.
