????? Experience suggests that we two often talk at cross purposes. In this instance, for example, that that was exactly what I was trying to do. Something obviously gets lost in the journey. xforms has a dialog for the mathed label and qt doesn't. I'm trying to initiate a discussion on how best to change that. Either we adopt an approach that can be carried through in future LyX development (and for which the code exists already) or we cobble together some sort of Qt AskForText dialog that will be ditched as soon as 1.3 is released.
